In tarot, Aries is represented by the 4th Major Arcana Card: The Emperor. This shoot is a recreation of that image of “The Emperor.” Someone that embodies that of Aries, that headstrong, brave, and bold energy. Someone that stands in their unmistakable conviction and independence.
I wanted to represent the Aries house as this regal and commanding figure, but with a contrast of softness in femininity as “The Ram”, whose horns in history were often symbols of leadership and abundance— “provider” but through a “mother” sense. With this interpretation as well, I wanted to highlight how that same typical Aries energy doesn’t always have to be tough and brazen, but can be expressed in even the other end of its extreme.
This Aries season was about hitting the ground running after coming out of winter. The collective has a choice to surge forward, a call for that inner “Emperor.”
How have you shown up as this energy throughout March? In what ways haven’t you? — and why not?
