For this shoot, I wanted to represent this house with the idea that
You don't get to see the pearls before seeing the shell first.
You don't get to see the pearls before seeing the shell first.
Cancers have a dramatic and dreamy energy to them that is reflected out from their internal world. Like their zodiac symbol, the crab, Cancers are not one to step outside of their protective shell too often, whether that be physically or mentally. But even so, if put in any environment, they will find their way to adapt and thrive. Depending on how thick their shell has grown, the sign craves security and safety— not only for themselves but for the ones they keep around them, in whatever way that might mean. With this, Cancers are one of the most caring souls for those that matter; yielding and soft, though a hard exterior.
As a house, ruled by the element water and the moon, Cancer asks us to be in tune with our inner selves and to be willing to stand in the waves of our emotions in whatever form they come. To allow calm waters and fluidity within yourself without having to sacrifice your exterior or your value.
